Ireland choked.
France showed up against England.
Australia scrapped over the Boks. (75-25% territory, 60-40% possession)
Argentina did a great job of screwing up the ABs game flow.

So the same four teams featured in the semifinals at the inaugural World Cup in 1987, the last time the tournament was staged in New Zealand. The All Blacks beat Wales in the 1987 semifinals and then had too much firepower in the final for France, which was coming off a comeback semifinal win over the Australians

I don't really care who will come out top for the France/Wales semi but I sure am rooting for the Wallabies. Yep. WALLABIES. I know their restarts, lineouts was crap against the Boks, but hey, was its against the current world champions. Breakdowns and scrums were pretty average in my opinion and Quade Cooper played like he was on the other team. I felt it wasn't really his fault because he only shines when his forwards get him frontfoot ball, and he tries to step up shit ball, this happens. Berrick Barnes came in and helped him out quite a bit.

And yes, yes, I know they haven't won at Eden Park since 1986, and haven't beaten the All Blacks anywhere in New Zealand since 2001 (frigging shit), but 6 things are in their favor:

1) Reds (filled with Wallabies) won the Super 15 in July this year beating Blues and Crusaders (NZ teams filled with ABs) in the semis and finals respectively. So wallabies they know how to beat kiwis.

2) They beat the All Blacks in the Tri-Nations decider in Brisbane this August to claim the southern hemisphere's biggest prize for the first time in a decade.

3) ABs have lost DC. And CS. Down to their 3rd choice flyhalf in Aaron Cruden with Stephen Donald as backup HAHAHA.

4) All Blacks haven't won the World Cup since 1987.

5) Since the inaugural World Cup in 1987 the defending champions(Boks) have, apparently, always been beaten by the team(Wallabies) that goes on to lift the Webb Ellis Cup.

6) In World Cup semifinals head-to-heads results, it's: Australia 2, New Zealand 0.

Point number 7, Quade Cooper will piss the fuck out of McCaw and the whole All Blacks team will not be able to play because they all want a piece of him.
